Cultural Artistic Teachings: Red Dress Pins for MMIWG Awareness

This webinar invites participants to honour and raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+) through the creation of Red Dress Pins—a powerful symbol of remembrance, resistance, and love.

Led by Anna Burning, Artist and Owner of Burning’s Beaded Expressions, this workshop is both a creative and educational experience.

Cultural Artistic Teachings: Sweet Medicine: Crafting a Strawberry Pin Video

Thurs, June 19, 2025 – 3:00 PM ET – VIRTUAL

This engaging and hands-on tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a beautiful strawberry pin while exploring the deep cultural significance of the strawberry—often referred to as the “heart berry” in many Indigenous teachings.

Led by a skilled Indigenous artist Krissy Powless, this video offers both creative inspiration and cultural reflection. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced in beading, this workshop will provide step-by-step instruction, helpful tips, and teachings rooted in tradition.
